IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING HONORS IN RHETORIC:
The Creative Writing Program is in the process of phasing out its honors program. As of the end of this academic year (2007-2008) , the Creative Writing Major will no longer accept new students into its honors option. Students who will have completed at least one departmental literature honors seminar THIS academic year will be allowed to complete the honors program. Creative Writing Majors who want the opportunity to pursue Departmental Honors in Creative Writing must have completed their first honors literature seminar by the end of this coming semester (SP08) to pursue honors in Creative Writing. As always sign-up for honors seminars begins the first day of advanced registration.
CAREERS AND GRADUATE SCHOOL INFORMATION ROOM
An entire room in our office has been reserved for students thinking about careers in English or Creative Writing or going to graduate school. The room has computers available to use for browsing bookmarked URL's we've found useful to our majors. There are also paper copies of job descriptions and vocational biographies among many other paper references.
Please stop by to take a look.
