APA Format: Review in a Periodical

When a review in a periodical is cited, a typical bibliographic entry will appear as follows:

Schatz, B. R. (2000). Learning by text or context? [Review of the book The social life of information]. Science, 290, 1304.

List the author of the review and the date of publication in parenthesis. The title of the review comes next. In brackets, identify the type of medium being reviewed and the title. Outside the brackets, list the name of the periodical in which the review can be found. Remember to include the volume and page numbers.
