Call for Papers

Forty-Fourth English Articulation Conference
April 16-17, 2008

The forty-fourth annual English Articulation Conference will provide a forum for literature, creative writing, professional writing, and composition instructors at two- and four-year institutions in Illinois to discuss their shared concerns and to present research in their field(s).

We welcome proposals for both individual and panel presentations on topics related to the teaching of composition, literature, creative writing, and professional writing as well as on relevant institutional, administrative and professional issues.  Interactive and alternative formats are encouraged. Because participants come from varied settings and represent different areas of English studies, informal talks, panels and workshops rather than the reading of specialized papers is generally preferred.  We hope you will plan to participate in the rich discussions and collegiality that the English Articulation Conference fosters.

Proposals for either individual presentations or full panel sessions are welcome.  Please submit (as an email attachment) a 250-word description of the format and topic of your presentation(s) to the conference coordinator: Jessica L. Bannon.  Include contact information for all participants.

Deadline for Proposal Submissions:
Friday, February 1st 2008
