Hawhee will discuss her two projects, one just completed on rhetoric
in ancient Greece, and the other just underway on Kenneth Burke's theories
of the body. Possible topics might include: how her dissertation became
a book, and her approaches to archival work/strategies for historical
work. The brownbag will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m. in 107A English Building.

sponsored by the Center for Writing Studies, this workshop will consider
ways in which writing can and cannot be used effectively to enhance
teaching and learning in large classes. The workshop is being held for
those who were unable to participate in October. Time: 9:00 - 12:00
p.m. Room: 404 Illini Union.
