107 English: Multimedia Seminar Room

Room 107 in the English Building offers an intimate setting for small group presentations and small classes. The room seats up to 24 students (depending on how the room is to be used) and features a seminar table with seating for ten.

The room is equipped with a Gateway Destination system, equipped with the following:

• Pentium II 400-megahertz processor with 128MB of RAM
• 10-gigabite hard drive
• 4MB 3D graphics accelerator card
• DVD-ROM drive
• CD-RW drive for recording compact discs
• wireless keyboard
• wireless mouse
• VCR
• 36-inch monitor

Software on the Gateway includes:

• Microsoft Office 2000 Professional (including Word, PowerPoint, PhotoDraw, and Excel)
• Internet Explorer 5.0
• Netscape Communicator 4.0
• Adaptec CD Creator

107 English is suitable for small group presentations, as well as video screenings and discussions.

This room can be reserved by contacting either Chris Fiscus in 59 English or Lauri Harden in 294 English. A five-to-ten minute orientation session for the Gateway is required prior to using it for the first time.
